This dataset represents the tolerance assays and lacasse production of the strain Trametes sanguinea BAFC 2126 in liquid media supplemented with citrus waste water. Effect of the addition of CuSO4 was also evaluated.

Steps to reproduce

Tolerance was evaluated in 85mm diameter petri dishes containing 12 ml of Malt Extract Agar supplemented with filtered citrus wastewater ( 25, 50, 75 and 100%). On agar plug of a BAFC 21 16 culture was inoculated and the radial growth was mesuread daily. Laccase production was reveleades at he moment the mycellium covered 50% of the plate by adding 10 ml of dimethoxyphenol 5 mm in sodium acetate buffer 0.1 M (pH 3.6) incubated in agitation in darkness for 20 min. The lacasse production and the effects of addition of CuSO4 was evaluated in liquid media using 50 ml of citrus Wastewater (25, 50, 75 and 100%) and three agar plugs of BAFC 2126 inmobilized in 1 g of Luffa cylindrica. For the copper treatments, 0.5 M of CuSO4 was added. Treatements and controls were incubated for 19 gays at 28 °C in static and agitation conditions (100 rpm). Samples were taken periodically and Laccase activity was evaluated in spectophotometer using DMP in sodium acetate buffer (0.1 M pH 3.6)
