An examination of same and opposite sex sexual harassment, with men and women as both victims and perpetrators. Sexual harassment is further examined as undesired solicitation and derogation. Sociosexuality and hostile sexism are also examined. In a UK-based sample with opposite-sex interests, sociosexual behaviour consistently predicted opposite sex harassment for both sexes. Hostile sexism predicts all manifestations of women's engagement and experiences. The relationship between sociosexuality and same sex undesired solicitation was mediated by opposite sex solicitation for both sexes engagement and experience, suggesting a spillover effect. There was no mediation effect for derogation and sociosexuality.
