Data for: New geological, geochronological and geochemical characterization of the San Dimas mineral system: evidence for a telescoped Eocene-Oligocene Ag/Au deposit in the Sierra Madre Occidental, Mexico.
Text 1: Analytical techniques of Petrography, 40Ar/39Ar geochronology, U/Pb LA-ICPMS zircon dating, and LA–ICP-MS-based titanite fission-track (TFT) dating procedures are presented in detail. Table 1: LA–ICP-MS protocol established at LEI (CGEO, UNAM) to be employed for simultaneous U–Pb and fission-track double dating plus multielemental analysis of titanite samples. BLR1 – titanite U–Pb standard with an age of ca. 1047 (Aleinikoff et al., 2002); FCT – Fish Canyon Tuff titanite with an age of 28.4 ± 0.1 Ma (Schmitz and Bowring, 2001); tnts – unknown titanites; (*) – laser pulse energy of 5 J/cm-2, measured with a Coherent energy/power meter.
