Data for: Do emergency ventilators deliver preset tidal volumes? - Mechanical ventilation in a human cadaver model of asynchronous cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

We conducted a crossover study of different ventilators in a human cadaver model of asynchronous cardiopulmonary resuscitation, to investigate wether transport respirators are able to provide ventilation during ongoing chest compressions [research paper - coming soon]. We found ventilations to be highly fragmented by chest compressions with meaningful reduction of deliverd tidal volumes. We also found significant differences of tidal volume reduction between the evaluated ventilators. The repository contains raw data recordings of flow, airway pressure, esophageal pressure, depth of the automated chest compression piston, and force of the automated chest compression piston. The dataset of derived values and especially volumes analysed is included in this repository. Data of this repository is described in detail in a co-submitted data publication [data publication - coming soon]. This data enables readers to review tracings of all respiratory measurements on raw data level. In another repository we provide a plotting tool to do so [3]. The data may be used to examine interactions of chest compressions and ventilations during cardiopulmonary resuscitation in depth.
