Description

The research aimed to find the monthly, seasonal and annual trends in rainfall and temperature at Manali, Bhuntar and Katrain stations in the Upper Beas basin along the western Himalyas. The trends analysis found varying trends at these stations. A major observation is that the minimum temperature in increasing especially during winter period in this area. The trend analysis has been carried out using MK test at monthly, seasonal and annual scales The daily observed data has been collected for the 3 monitoring stations. The data is available in Indian daily weather report of the India Meteorological Department.
