Description

The dataset is a companion to Investigating climate trends in Maya Lowlands Lesson Plan. The Lesson Plan is written for late high-school and early undergraduate students. The dataset comprises of multiple weather station data in the Maya Lowlands. The data was gathered through multiple resources from National Centers for Environmental Information, local collaborations with farmers in Belize and reanalysis model data. The aim of the Lesson Plan is to promote critical thinking required to investigate climate trends. On completion of the Lesson Plan which requires the use of this dataset, the student will be able to answer questions on climate variability in Central America. The dataset includes precipitation and temperature data through time gathered across multiple stations in Central America.
