Facile Salt-Assisted Hydrothermal Synthesis of Ultrananocrystalline Diamonds from Citric Acid under Mild Conditions
Description
File: HR_TEM_Calculations.xlsx Description: The dataset and calculation contained in this file provides the underlying data used for the d-spacing analysis of the three NaOH-treated samples (12N, 14N, and 16N). It includes the individual d-spacing measurements, the corresponding d-spacing ranges, and the number and percentage of observations falling within each range. All measured d-spacing values were included in the analysis, including those assigned to graphitic or turbostratic carbon. The frequency for each d-spacing range was determined using the total number of measured d-spacing values for the respective sample. The dataset also records the total number of particles examined for each sample. This Excel file is provided to ensure transparency and reproducibility of the d-spacing analysis. It allows readers to review the individual measurements and verify the reported frequency distributions and the calculated fractions of hexagonal-diamond and n-diamond structures presented in the manuscript. File: Product_Yield_and_Mass_Balance_Equation.xlsx Description: The data and calculation provided the quantitative data used to support the synthesis and yield-related statements presented in the manuscript. It contains the input masses of the starting materials, the mass of the purified and dried product obtained after synthesis, and the corresponding yield calculations based on the theoretical carbon content of the citric acid precursor. The dataset also includes the calculated true carbon yield for each synthesis and the final values reported as the arithmetic mean ± standard deviation from three independent synthesis replicates (n = 3). These data provide a transparent record of the material input and recovered product and allow the reported yield values to be independently verified. The Excel sheet is provided to improve data transparency and reproducibility and to allow readers to examine the underlying quantitative data supporting the discussion of synthesis efficiency and product recovery.
