The findings highlight a disturbing escalation in device dependency, especially among urban youth and digitally engaged professionals. Approximately 65% of youth and 48% of professionals reported checking their devices more than 100 times per day, indicating an alarming level of compulsive interaction. Smart technologies such as wearables, smartwatches, voice assistants, and app notifications have created a continuous feedback loop, reinforcing addictive behavior and reducing the individual’s ability to detach from digital platforms.
