Description
In this study, the relationships between romantic relationship satisfaction and basic psychological needs, mindfulness, relationship quality and attribution styles in university students were examined within the framework of the proposed model of Satisfaction in Romantic Relationships. Research hypotheses are as follows: 1. Hypothesis: Basic psychological needs directly predicts satisfaction in romantic relationships; indirectly through the causality attribution style, mindfulness and relationship quality. 2. Hypothesis: The causality attribution style directly predicts satisfaction in romantic relationships; indirectly through relationship quality and mindfulness. 3. Hypothesis: Basic psychological needs directly predicts satisfaction in romantic relationships; indirectly through the responsibility attribution style, mindfulness and relationship quality. 4. Hypothesis: The responsibility attribution style directly predicts satisfaction in romantic relationships; indirectly through relationship quality and mindfulness. 5. Hypothesis: Mindfulness directly predicts satisfaction in romantic relationships; indirectly through the relationship quality. According to the research results; 1. Basic Psychological Needs predict Satisfaction in Romantic Relationships. In addition, Causality Attribution Style, Mindfulness and Relationship Quality mediate in the relationship between Basic Psychological Needs and Romantic Relationship Satisfaction. The hypothesis 1 of the research has been confirmed. 2. Causality Attribution Style predicts Satisfaction in Romantic Relationships. In addition, the Causality Attribution Style mediates the relationship between Satisfaction in Romantic Relationships, Relationship Quality and Mindfulness. The hypothesis 2 of the research has been confirmed. 3. Basic Psychological Needspredict Satisfaction in Romantic Relationships. In addition, in the relationship between Basic Psychological Needs and Romantic Relationship Satisfaction, Responsibility Attribution Style, Mindfulness and Relationship Quality mediate. The hypothesis 3 of the research has been confirmed. 4. Responsibility Attribution Style predicts Satisfaction in Romantic Relationships. At the same time, Responsibility Attribution Style mediates the Relationship Quality and Mindfulness in the relationship of Satisfaction in Romantic Relationships. The hypothesis 4 of the research has been confirmed. 5. Mindfulnesspredicts Satisfaction in Romantic Relationships. In the relationship between Mindfulness and Romantic Relationship Satisfaction, Relationship Quality mediates for the Structural ModelI, but it is not significant for the Structural Model II. In this case, it can be said that the Hypothesis 5 of the research is partially confirmed.
