Description

Data generated by the experiments reported in the paper of the same name as in the title above, which has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization. The results replicate the findings of List (2007) that dictators in dictator games give substantially less to anonymous recipients when options to take money from the recipient are added, but giving patterns are similar when take options are added if the recipient is a charity. All results can be reproduced using the dataset and Stata do file that are provided. All that needs to be changed is the directory that is set that indicates where you have the dataset saved.
