Description

The complete mitochondrial genome sequence of estuarine ribbon worm, Yininemertes pratensis (Nemertea: Lineidae) is firstly determined in this study. A total length of newly determined mitogenome was 15,616 bp including 13 protein-coding genes, two rRNA genes, 24 tRNA genes, and a non-coding region of 571 bp. The phylogenetic position of Y. pratensis was examined by Neighbor-joining analysis using concatenated 13 protein-coding genes with nine selected nemertean species. Yininemertes pratensis was nested into family Lineidae and closely related to Notospermus geniculatus among selected species. The newly determined mitogenome sequence will be useful for better understanding not only for further phylogenetic study but also ecological study of this species.
