Survey data on post-earthquake restoration of tunnels
Description
A comprehensive online questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate post-earthquake restoration for tunnels, targeting globally recognized experts with substantial theoretical knowledge and practical experience in tunnel design, construction, inspection, maintenance, and reinforcement. The survey ultimately collected valid responses from 33 experts affiliated with prestigious universities, consulting firms, and construction companies across 13 countries. These participating experts provided critical feedback on key temporal and economic indicators, including duration and sequencing of various restoration tasks, idle time, traffic capacity, and cost ratio. From a practical perspective, the collected data offer a global perspective on post-earthquake tunnel rehabilitation, providing valuable references for infrastructure owners and stakeholders to formulate recovery strategies, predict recovery timelines, and optimize investment decisions. Furthermore, these datasets serve as essential inputs for establishing restoration models, thereby promoting the advancement of quantitative seismic resilience research. After removing all potentially identifiable expert information, the raw dataset is available in the Excel file titled 'Survey Data on Post-Earthquake Restoration of Tunnels'.
