Description

The aims of the study are to examine the effect of web-based Mindfulness and Guided imagery Relaxation program on psychological disorder symptoms DAS and Psychological well-being. Paired sample t-test analysis was performed to test the effect of the intervention on each group based on the difference between pre-test and post-test scores on each observed variable. Independent sample t-tests were conducted to test differences in the impact of interventions between mindfulness groups and guided imagery relaxation.

Steps to reproduce

Participants in this study were children and adolescents (age range from 8 to 15 years) in the Buleleng Regency, Bali, Indonesia, who had experienced violent treatment in the past year. Screening and initial testing are carried out from March 25 to June 25, 2022. Prospective participants take part in initial testing and screening voluntarily through an online questionnaire. The criteria used to select prospective participants are: (1) experiencing violence within the last year at most, whether in physical, social, verbal, sexual, moral, or other forms; and (2) experiencing one or more of the symptoms of a psychological disorder of depression, anxiety and or stress at least in the moderate category. They reported on a history of violence experienced, as well as an assessment of the level of psychological disorders in the symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress experienced.
