In this study, we performed laboratory bench-scale experiments mimicking an engineered injection extraction (EIE) system in an unconfined aquifer. We investigated flow dynamics, transport, mixing processes and the role of local dispersion in mixing enhancement. We performed five experiments: two base-case experiments for each grain size (Coarse-Base and Fine-Base) and three experiments under transient flow conditions (Coarse-A, Fine-A and Fine-B). The dataset includes: 1. The animation of the images taken every 30 seconds for the experiment Coarse-A 2. The animation of the images taken every 30 seconds for the experiment Fine-A 3. The animation of the images taken every 30 seconds for the experiment Fine-B
