Description

The data are phytolith concentrations of the 1300yrs peat profile from Xishan Mountains, Jiangxi Province, China. 51 types of phytolith (27 types of phytolith classied to family, 24 types are unidentified) were identified and counted under a 400× optical microscope. More than 400 grains were counted in each sample. The identified phytoliths are Pteridophyta, Conifers, Broad-leaved, Cyperaceae, Bambusoideae, Chloridoideae, Panicoideae, Pooideae and Oryzoideae. The unidentified morphology includes Bilobate, Polybate, Elongate castelate, Elongate smooth, Elongate coarse, Elongate echinate, Haircell, Scuitform, Lanceolate, Parallepipedal bulliform, Cuneiform bulliform, Square, Rectangule, Ovate, Conical hollow with flat top, Conical hollow with cone top, Rondel, Pyramidal, Stoma cell, Unciform, Rugose elongate, etc. Charred grains are also included here.
