Description

Based on PSA simulations from https://data.mendeley.com/datasets/4nmvpnst8h/1, the generic PSA was slightly modified, including two basic events, for the Common Cause Failure (CCF) to start of all 4 Emergency Diesel Generators (EDGs) of subsystem EDG 1 to 4 (1XKXJFSCCF_ALL ) and of subsystem EDG 5 to 8 (5XKXJFSCCF_ALL). The modified PSA was evaluated to consider the testing adverse effects of EDG fail to start events (independent and common cause failures) in several scenarios combining aging, test degradation and two values of test efficiency (80% and 90%). Two CCF models were analyzed for the EDG Common Cause Failure rate; the traditional considering only the standby time and an expanded model that considers, additionally, the contribution derived from the repair time unavailability of the components belonging to the CCF group. The Database includes the results of 22 simulations, one half for the traditional CCF model and the other half for the expanded CCF model.
