Description

This dataset presents a structured synthesis of scientific literature on product design strategies aimed at promoting responsible production and consumption, developed through a systematic review following PRISMA guidelines using sources indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, and Taylor & Francis. It includes approximately 151–156 peer-reviewed references organized in a tabular Excel format, where each entry contains bibliographic information, document type classification (journal, conference paper, or other), and analytical coding based on five research questions (RQ1–RQ5) addressing design strategies, their impacts, associated challenges, future perspectives, and the role of emerging technologies. The dataset captures key approaches such as durability, repairability, modularity, circular economy models, and eco-design, as well as their environmental, behavioral, and economic implications. It also incorporates metadata such as publication year, keywords, and contributions, enabling temporal and thematic analysis. This resource supports transparency, reproducibility, and further research in sustainable product design, circular economy, and responsible consumption aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 12 (SDG 12).
