Description

The synthesis process, crystal structure, surface morphology, composition, and e optical and magnetic behaviors of the rare-earth antimoniate Ba2SbSmO6, as well as its electronic structure calculated using the density functional theory, are reported in the present work. Samples were synthesized by means of the solid-state reaction method. The structural analysis of the obtained compound was performed by Rietveld refinement of the experimental X-ray diffraction experimental data, which revealed its crystallization in a cubic complex perovskite, belonging to the space group Fm3 ̅m (# 225) with lattice parameter a=8.5085(5) Å.
