Description

The Department of Fisheries and Oceans in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh and the Ocean Tracking Network successfully deployed three benthic landers in the Sambro Bank Sponge Conservation Area. These landers are equipped with camera systems and passive acoustic receivers to record the soundscape on the Vazella pourtalesii sponge grounds. This data repository provides the necessary background information for the mission (HUDSON2021-048) and data for the three CTD casts and photos acquired along transects using a drop camera system (4K Camera) to characterize the benthic habitats.
