Data and Mplus analysis files: Unplanned pregnancy and corporal punishment: maternal depression as a mediator

This repository contains the derived analysis dataset and the complete Mplus input, output, and DIFFTEST files supporting the study "Unplanned pregnancy and corporal punishment: maternal depression as a mediator", a secondary analysis of the Peruvian Demographic and Family Health Survey (ENDES) 2022–2024.

Steps to reproduce
- Obtain the source microdata from the INEI ENDES repository ([https://proyectos.inei.gob.pe/microdatos/](https://proyectos.inei.gob.pe/microdatos/)), surveys 2022–2024, and reproduce the derived dataset as described in the README. - Open Mplus 8.4 and run the input files in the order indicated in the README: Models 01–03 (measurement invariance, unweighted; run 01 first to generate the DIFFTEST file used by 02, and 02 for the file used by 03), Models 06–08 (same sequence with the complex sampling design), Model 04 and Model 09 (mediation model, unweighted and complex), and Model 05 and Model 10 (multigroup moderated mediation with the omnibus Wald test and pairwise contrasts). - Compare the output files (.out) with the estimates reported in Tables 2–4 and Supplemental Table S1 of the manuscript. - Correspondence between files and manuscript sections: Supplements S1 (Models 01–03, 06–08), S2 (Models 04, 09), S3 (Models 05, 10).
