Reproducibility resources for temperature variability, mortality, and functional ageing in Chinese longitudinal cohorts
Description
This repository provides reusable reproducibility resources for longitudinal analyses of annual temperature variability, mortality, and functional ageing using two national Chinese cohort studies: the Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey (CLHLS) and the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS). The package contains: (i) curated Python and R scripts implementing the documented analytical workflows; (ii) aggregate, non-participant-level result tables generated by those workflows; and (iii) documentation, file-integrity manifests, and compliance audit records. No restricted or licensed participant-level cohort data are redistributed. The repository does not contain downloaded CLHLS or CHARLS datasets, participant identifiers, individual-level records, or derived datasets that could substitute for the original cohort data. Authorized access to CLHLS and CHARLS data must be obtained directly from their official providers under the applicable application procedures and data-use agreements. The analytical workflows also require ERA5 climate data obtained from the Copernicus Climate Data Store. Source cohort and climate data are referenced through their official providers and are not redistributed in this package. Local source-data and output paths must be configured before execution. Manuscript drafts, cover letters, journal correspondence, submission figures, and graphical abstracts are not included.
