Dataset derived from nursing teamwork and patient-centered care among Korean hospital nurses
Description
This educational derived dataset was developed based on the published article "Nursing teamwork is essential in promoting patient-centered care: a cross-sectional study" (Baek et al., 2023). It was created to demonstrate research data organization, documentation, and publication using Mendeley Data. The dataset contains structured information describing the study design, participant demographics, work-related characteristics, nursing teamwork levels, staffing adequacy, and patient-centered care outcomes. Variables were organized into a tabular format with standardized names and accompanied by a data dictionary to improve interpretation and reuse. The original study analyzed survey responses from 992 registered nurses working in Korean hospitals to investigate the relationship between nursing teamwork and patient-centered care. Results demonstrated a positive association between higher teamwork levels and better patient-centered care, while staffing adequacy and working hours were also associated with teamwork levels. This dataset is intended exclusively for educational and demonstration purposes to illustrate dataset publication, metadata creation, documentation, and citation in Mendeley Data. It does not contain the original participant-level data collected by the study authors. Users interested in the original research data should consult the corresponding publication and contact the original authors according to the data availability statement.
