Chalcvopyrite (Wallaroo Mines; South Australian Museum collection, catalogue number G22621; grain size=118-200 µm and 2-2.8 mm, 0.1 g and 0.06-0.15 g) was leached in various acidic, alkaline, conventional and novel, more sustanaible lixiviants in an orbital shaking water bath at 50°C for 43 days. The data comprise mineralogy of chalcopyrite fraction via XRD , pregnant lixiviant compositions via ICP-OES and chalcopyrite surface/passivation species images and S-speciation via FIB-SEM and μXANES.
