Steps to reproduce

Chronic low-backpain patients and physical activity-, age-, and BMI- matched controls conducted a Soerensen-Bjering test comprising isometric lumbar extensor exercise to exhaustion with concomitant monitoring of strain to the aerobic metabolism in M. longissimus and cardiovascular metabolism. Pain and habitual physical activity levels were estimated based on validated questionnaires. Genotyping was performed on genomic DNA with polymerase chain reactions for either of the three genotypes of rs1799752 (i.e. II, ID or DD), and rs2104772 (i.e. AA, AT or TT).
