Description

Supporting data for "Reactive aqueous NIPS of a Jatropha-oil-derived precursor with polyethersulfone: reaction–demixing coupling and Cu(II) uptake scaling with acid-site density" (Journal of Membrane Science, MEMSCI-D-26-02796). Every mean ± SD printed in the article and its Supporting Information is recomputable from these records, as is every p value in the register of comparisons (Table S66). FILES 1. JPUPES_Supporting_Data.xlsx (84 sheets): Summary (n, mean, SD, RSD for 1,839 condition-by-metric groups), Raw_Data (one row per replicate, keyed to Group ID), point-level sheets for every spectrum, curve and time series, Derived_Calculations, Dataset_Index and Dataset_Parameters. 2. JPUPES_Extended_Dataset.xlsx (61 sheets): the measurement series of the revision, including the three-arm demixing series (DEMIX-3ARM), cloud points (CP-3ARM), the inert oligomer record with its polystyrene SEC calibration (INERT-OLIGOMER), EDS cross-sections, pulsed EPR and the replicated long-duration series. One RAW_* sheet per acquisition, QC_* checks and ANALYSIS_* sheets for derived quantities. 3. JPUPES_Method_Records.xlsx (11 sheets): design, calibration, method-validation, acquisition and quality-control records, and the source values behind manuscript Table 1 (TABLE1_SOURCES). 4. Figure_Table_RawData_Map.xlsx: maps every figure and table of the article and Supporting Information to its dataset, sheets and workbook; the Datasets sheet lists every dataset code and the alias used in the text. 5. EDS_XSECT_Hyperspectral.zip: energy-dispersive hyperspectral cubes of the membrane cross-sections with the rebuild script. 6. HYSCORE_TimeDomain.zip: pulsed EPR (HYSCORE) time-domain echoes. 7. MORPH_3ARM_FESEM.zip: one representative 1.00 kx cross-section FESEM field per demixing arm (Fig. S24d–f); the laboratory file of every field read is named in sheet MORPH_3ARM. 8. Spectroscopy_Instrument_Exports.zip: instrument exports of the XPS and Cu K-edge XAS spectra. 9. TITRATION_ACID_CLOSURE_RAW.zip (added in Version 3): point-level titration curves in 0.1 M KCl, acid-strip wash log, ICP copper balance and the calculation scripts behind Table S13, Note S6 and Fig. S27d (dataset ACID-CLOSURE). Dataset codes used in the article (e.g. DEMIX-3ARM, CP-3ARM, INERT-OLIGOMER, UPTAKE, SP-FORM-100) are resolved in Figure_Table_RawData_Map.xlsx (sheet Datasets). Units and conventions are given in the README sheet of each workbook.

Steps to reproduce

Full protocols are in the manuscript (Sections 2.1–2.11) and the Supporting Information (Notes S1–S33). HOW THE DATA WERE GENERATED Membranes were prepared by reactive aqueous nonsolvent-induced phase separation from an NCO-terminated Jatropha-oil-derived precursor, polyethersulfone and DMF or NMP; water coagulation formed the asymmetric membrane and converted residual NCO into a urethane–urea network. "JPU/PES 50/50" is the precursor:PES mass ratio in the dope. Reaction–demixing coupling was measured on three arms of matched initial viscosity (reactive, end-capped and an inert rheology-matched oligomer), each prepared from three independent batches and coagulated three times per batch, by transmitted light, with ATR-FTIR conversion, cloud-point titration and FESEM morphology. Performance: pure-water permeability, burst pressure, static Cu(II) uptake (AAS), single-pass breakthrough and regeneration, and long-duration total-recycle series; characterisation by XPS, XANES/EXAFS, CW and pulsed EPR, FTIR, TGA/DSC, porometry and potentiometric titration. HOW TO TRACE A PRINTED VALUE 1. Find the figure or table in Figure_Table_RawData_Map.xlsx (sheet Map); it gives the dataset code, the sheets and the workbook. 2. For replicate statistics, filter Summary by dataset and condition; the Group ID links to the replicate rows in Raw_Data. 3. For curves and spectra, use the point-level sheet named in the Map; derived quantities are recomputed in Derived_Calculations or the ANALYSIS_* sheets with the formula stated in each row. 4. Statistical comparisons follow Note S28 and are registered in Table S66 (Welch tests with Bonferroni correction within each family). Mean ± SD uses the sample SD (STDEV.S) of independent replicates; n is stated in every Summary row.
