Data of the integration of steam gasification and catalytic reforming of lignocellulosic biomass as a strategy to increase the syngas yield and pollutant removal
Description
The presented data correspond to the study of the integration of steam gasification of sugarcane residual biomass with a catalytic reforming process over a Rh-Pt/CeO2-SiO2 catalyst At different temperatures. For that, activity test was carry out in order to study the change in the product distribution between a simple gasification process and a system of gasification followed by a catalytic treatment. In addition, we evaluated the emission of different pollutants including light HCs, PAHs and PCCD/Fs. In the folders you will find all the data obtained for each of the used techniques. In the folder called "Steam gasification and catalytic reforming Data" there is an excel workbook called "Activity results" it contains the experimental data of the product distribution and gas yields obtained during steam gasification of sugarcane residual biomass and gasification followed by catalytic reforming. Each of the worksheets corresponds to each temperature and is labeled as blank (BL), gasification (G) or gasification followed by catalytic reforming (GR). The folder called "Pollutant quantification" have two excel workbooks which contain the data obtained for each of the studied pollutants, PAHs and PCDD/Fs. The given data allowed to study the emission of pollutants, including PAHs and PCCD/Fs, commonly formed during biomass thermochemical processes. Each excel has the results of the two processes (i.e., gasification and gasification followed by catalytic reforming) at the different temperatures. The folder called "Catalyst characterization" have two excel workbooks which contain the data obtained by DRIFTS analysis for each of the studied atmospheres and the DRX results. In addition, inside this folder there is another one called “XPS”. All these files contain the results obtained for each of the catalyst samples used at each of the test temperatures and fresh samples.
