Description

Despite advancements in advocating for gender equality and decreasing violence towards women, significant disparities and persistent issues remain, particularly in Pakistan. This research investigates how educating and informing individuals can contribute to greater gender equality and a decrease in violence against women in Pakistan. Furthermore, the research highlights the necessity of establishing targeted educational initiatives, deliberate media campaigns, and community-led projects to transform entrenched perceptions of masculinity and femininity. It emphasizes the value of leveraging digital platforms for the distribution of vital messages. Furthermore, the paper has explored various methods for preventing and addressing violence targeted at individuals due to their gender. This indicates the importance of comprehending the variations in regulations between national and local jurisdictions and taking measures to halt violence against women in a range of settings including countries, cities, schools, and neighbourhoods. This research uses a comprehensive survey to gauge public knowledge and opinions about current initiatives, as well as the societal and cultural barriers that hinder their success. The researcher has employed both qualitative and quantitative research methods. The data will be collected from various sources such as case laws, interviews, news articles, and surveys to assess public perceptions of how we can advance gender equality and to extenuate gender-based violence in our society. Moreover, the study offers recommendations for improving and ensuring the durability of these efforts. It asserts the importance of robust regulations, extensive assistance for those who have been harmed, and methods for monitoring the success of the measures.
