Design_file_Lorawan_data_logger
Description
This dataset contains the complete open-source hardware and firmware design files for DecaLog, an ultra-low-power LoRaWAN datalogger developed for remote reading of DLMS/COSEM electricity meters. The repository includes the KiCad PCB design files, schematic and board layout, manufacturing files, bill of materials (BOM), and embedded firmware source code required to reproduce and program the DecaLog hardware. DecaLog is designed for long-term, battery-powered operation in locations where electricity meters lack network connectivity or auxiliary power. The system periodically communicates with compatible DLMS/COSEM electricity meters, acquires meter data, and transmits the measurements through LoRaWAN while maintaining low power consumption between acquisition cycles. These files accompany the HardwareX article: “DecaLog: An Open-Source Ultra-Low-Power LoRaWAN Datalogger for Remote DLMS/COSEM Smart Meter Reading.” The repository is provided to support hardware reproduction, firmware modification, further development, and independent evaluation of the DecaLog platform.
