Description

The data is downloaded from National Solar Radiation Data Base (NSRDB) and Wind Integration National Dataset (WIND) provided by National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). Each file corresponds to normalized wind or solar generation in 2008, 2009, 2010 for 100 locations on a regular 10X10 grid over a specific rectangular region specified in the corresponding paper. File names are of the form: "_p__x_y_z", where x = wind or solar y = geographical region id. BigSquare for the base case (region 1), 2Quad for four quarters (regions 2, 3, 4, 5), 10Quad for four small rectangles (regions 6, 7, 8, 9). East indicates that the data is from the eastern case study. z = case id. Std for the default parameters (as in base case), H for hourly generation, H10 for 5-hourly generation.
