Description
Perceived Parental Involvement Scale (PPIS) was designed for Indian adolescents aged between 14 and 18, considering cultural and societal contexts. The factor analysis retained 14 items that measure perceived parental involvement on two factors: Parental Engagement (PE) and Parental control (PC).

Steps to reproduce
The study adopted survey method and gathered data through offline mode. The researchers went in person to obtain permission from the schools and colleges management. The researchers explained the purpose and objective of the study. The instruction were clearly given and doubts were addressed to seek honest response as possible. There were four different studies to develop and validate the PPIS. For each study different data was collected at different time points and different population in urban cities of Bengaluru and Mangalore as students residing in this cities are from diverse background hence homogeneity was maintained. Data was cleaned in the excel sheet and further subjected to Factor Analysis using Jamovi software.
