Assessing Pre-Service Teachers’ Competencies in Writing Open-Ended Items: Self-, Peer, and Teacher Assessment

The researchers asked 125 pre-service teachers to prepare one open-ended item. As a result of the first analysis, 9 pre-service teachers were excluded from the study group because they had extreme values and harmed model data fit; thus, the research was conducted with 116 pre-service teachers, including 41.38% females (48) and 58.62% males (68). Besides, 65.52% (76) of them studied daytime classes and 34.48% (40) evening classes.
