Description

Our research hypothesis was that heat treatment by water-filtered infrared-A irradiation (wIRA) at 39 °C for 60 min would lead to increased autophagy compared to an untreated control. The following files show the treatment of human skin fibroblasts from a young healthy donor in three independent experiments to assess reproducibility. One file shows the absolute values of autophagy per nuclei in untreated and treated cells and the other file shows the relative values. All measurements were performed in six replicates, with at least three replicates used for data calculation. The data show a significant and reproducible increase in autophagosomes per nuclei by treatment with wIRA.
