In this study, data was collected from 122 households from Dungu, 120 households from Nyohini, and 115 households from Moshi Zongo from the Tamale Metropolis in Ghana giving a total of 357 mother-child pairs. The household dietary diversity and the nutritional status of children 2-5 years was then collected. Data was collected through household visits whereby a sampled woman was interviewed, and anthropometric measurements conducted on their respective children. Data on household dietary diversity was collected using 24 hours recall dietary intake. Anthropometric measurements of height/length and weight were taken for use in the computation of nutritional status indices namely weight for age, weight for height and height for age. All the data were collected in between December 2017 and January 2018.
