Description

Protein expression data for full length and cleaved PARP and caspase-3, respectively, determined by western blot. GAPDH or histone H3 are included as internal loading control. Data files show full western blots including 3-4 replicates for each group and molecular-weight size marker (protein ladder) representing three different experimental settings (Stimulation with LL-37 24 h, Stimulation with LL-37 6 h, Stimulation with Triton X-100 for 6h). Each of these experiments were repeated at least two times. These data are presented in brief in Figure 3A, Figure 3B and Figure 6 of our paper except for cleaved caspase-3 data at 6 h which are presented in the text as "data not shown", since no cleavage of caspase-3 is observed at this short time point in response to pro-apoptotic staurosporine included as positive control.
