Description

This database consists of a series of maps that depict the estimated inundation areas due to sea level rise (SLR) by a specific height (i.e., 1 ft, 2 ft, and 3 ft) in Maui County. Individual maps show inundation areas around the CRESI transect start points, identified for their vulnerability to the effects of climate change in the State of Hawaii Maui County Coastal Roads Report (Francis et al., 2024b), along the coastal roads on the islands of Maui and Molokai. CRESI transects are identified by Francis et al. (2024a). State of Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) state routes and Maui County Roads are acquired from HDOT (2023) and MC (2022). Shoreline datasets are provided by NGS (2017). Future SLR for +1 ft, +2 ft, and +3 ft are shown with respect to mean higher high water (MHHW). Details of the data sources and methods can be found in the 'Maps of Sea Level Rise Inundation by Specific Heights-README.docx'. References cited in this description can be found in the 'Description References-README.docx'.
