Methodical instructions for the implementation of the standard calculation and graphical work on the TOE-3 are given. The potential distribution at the ground surface in the spreading zone of a single earthing switch, the radius of the danger zone and the ground resistance, taking into account the specific resistance of the ground, are calculated. Along with the known relationships, an estimate is made of the necessary number of parallel connected earthing switches to provide a given radius of the danger zone around each of them.
