Description

Country-year panel (135 developing countries, 1981–2023) used to estimate how agricultural innovation capacity moderates the effects of growing-season heat and extreme-rainfall shocks on agricultural output, TFP, inputs and food supply. The main estimation sample covers 2,976 observations from 93 countries (variable in_main_sample). Includes a codebook, a country list, and Python code that rebuilds the dataset from public sources (GRAPE, USDA ERS, FAOSTAT, World Bank WDI and CCKP/ERA5, Sacks et al. crop calendar) and reproduces all tables and figures.
