The study was conducted in lowland rice farming areas in Oton, Iloilo, Philippines using two sizes of four-wheel tractors (29.84 kW and 37.30 kW) attached with different rotary tiller widths (1.64 m, 1.75 m, and 1.93 m). Field experiments were performed under square and rectangular field configurations. Operational parameters collected during testing included tillage depth, number of turns, distance traveled, area covered, actual operating width, operating time, traveling speed, fuel consumption, field capacity, field efficiency, and puddling index. Data were gathered through direct field measurements following PNS/BAFS 336:2022 testing procedures. Statistical analysis was conducted using one-way Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and ANOVA with Tukey’s HSD at 5% significance level to compare tractor–rotary tiller combinations. Financial analysis was also performed to evaluate operational cost and return on investment of the different treatments.
