Underlying data for 'Serum Leucine-Rich Alpha-2 Glycoprotein Levels in Rheumatoid Arthritis and Spondyloarthritis: A Promising Biomarker'
Description
This is a database of a cross-sectional data collected to evaluate serum leucine-rich alpha-2 glycoprotein levels in rheumatoid arthritis and spondyloarthritis. The subjects were recruited from the rheumatology polyclinic of Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo National Central Public Hospital (Jakarta, Indonesia) from March to May of 2022. This study has received approval from the Research Ethics Committee of Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia and Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo National Central Public Hospital (KET-197/UN2.F1/ETIK/PPM.00.02/2022). Patients aged over 18 years old with confirmed seropositive active rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and peripheral spondyloarthritis who gave their consent were recruited. Patients with other systemic autoimmune diseases, acute infectious diseases, liver disorders, and malignancies are excluded from the study. Patient characteristics, serum LRG (Human LRG ELISA Assay Kit, Immuno-Biological Laboratories Co., Ltd., Fujioka, Gunma, Japan; read with spectrophotometry at 450 nm), and serum CRP (cobas c 311 analyzer, Roche Holding AG, Basel, Switzerland) were recorded in this database.

Blood samples collected from patients were analyzed for LRG and CRP levels in an ISO-certified laboratory. To extract the serum, 6 mL of whole blood was drawn and centrifuged (Heraeus Labofuge 200, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Waltham (MA), USA) at 3,000 rpm for 15 minutes and 2,000 rpm for 5 minutes for LRG and CRP respectively. LRG measurement was performed with Human LRG ELISA Assay Kit (Immuno-Biological Laboratories Co., Ltd., Fujioka, Gunma, Japan) and read with spectrophotometry at 450 nm. Meanwhile, CRP measurement was performed with immunoturbidimetry using cobas c 311 analyzer (Roche Holding AG, Basel, Switzerland). Statistical analyses of the collected data were processed using the SPSS 24.0 for Mac program (IBM Corp., Armonk (NY), USA).
