Description

Background: Recent findings implicates higher prevalence of erectile dysfunction among men who have sleep disorders. Aim: We aimed to investigate sleep quality among men suffered from erectile dysfunction (ED) to reveal possible interrelation in revers manner. Clinical Implications: Near half of the men with ED suffer also from poor sleeping. Younger age, lean body mass and severe depression are the main predictors of poor sleep quality among ED sufferers. Strengths & Limitations: Lack of objective measurement for sleep disorder and absence of quality-of-life measurement of the subjects were the main limitations. Conclusion: Current findings provides logical evidence to evaluate sleep quality among men with erectile dysfunction in clinical settings. Possible causal relation should be investigated with further studies in this context.
