Description

Holter registries or continuous electrocardiographic records were taken from 120 patients, 30 normal and 90 with different cardiac pathologies from intensive care unit. The minimal and maximal heart rates as well as the heartbeats for each hour were taken to generate a chaotic attractor which is measure through grids according to the box counting method and determine if the dynamic is acute, normal or in evolution. Sensitivity and specificity, as well as Kappa coefficient were calculated to determine the effectiveness of the mathematical diagnosis.
