Description

This dataset comprises synthetic comfort profiles generated using ASHRAE global thermal comfort database I & II. There are two main folders. The first folder named "Plots", and contains 8 subfolders. Each subfolder contains 50 profiles for the specific climate and season. The first letter represents the climate and the second letter represents the season. For example: AS - climate A for summer season. The second folder named "Raw_Data_Profiles" contains the raw data (in CSV format) that makes the profiles. Each CSV file contains 51 rows. The first row includes the operative temperatures in degrees C. The other 50 rows include the raw data for the profiles. We used the following name convention: First Character - climate type; Second Character - Season (Summer -S, Winter -W); Cold - Probability of Cold discomfort - Comf - Probability of Comfort Warm - Probability of Warm discomfort. This dataset is part of the work from the paper "Quantifying the Impact of Personal Comfort Systems on Thermal Satisfaction and Energy Consumption in Office Buildings under Different U.S. Climates", Al Jebaei H, Aryal A. Please cite the paper if your work uses these comfort profiles. For more information please contact Hussein Al Jebaei at: husseinaljebaei@tamu.edu H. Al Jebaei and A.
