Description

This dataset supports the research article 'Operational Simulation and Validation of Slant-Path Atmospheric Transmittance at a High-Altitude Tibetan Site Using MERRA-2'. It provides the key data used for constructing local atmospheric profiles and validating the radiative transfer simulations under fixed operational parameters. The dataset includes: 1.Local Monthly Mean Atmospheric Profiles (2005–2024): Vertical profiles of air temperature, pressure, water vapor mixing ratio, ozone mixing ratio, and molecular number density derived from 20 years of MERRA-2 model-level data for the Ali-CPT site. 2.Real-time Lidar Extinction Profiles: Aerosol extinction coefficient profiles (532 nm) from the TML-01 lidar used for real-time simulation. 3.Transmittance Validation Data: Slant path atmospheric transmittance measurements from the DTF-8 sun photometer (channels: 400, 500, 610, 670, 780, 870, 940, 1050 nm), along with corresponding simulation results (Mode 1 and Mode 2) and input parameters (AOD, PWV, Solar Zenith Angle). These files are provided in CSV format. They allow researchers to reproduce the validation results presented in the paper and utilize the long-term climatology profiles for optical band atmospheric studies at the Ali site.
