Adjuvant Ketorolac and Dexamethasone + Hypoxic Human Retinal Pigment Epithelium (RPE) and Endothelial Cells (HREC)
Description
This dataset contains gene and protein expression levels evaluated in human retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cells and human retinal endothelial cells (HRECs) cultured under hypoxic conditions. The study investigated the hypothesis that adjunctive anti-inflammatory therapies (ketorolac and dexamethasone) can modulate the inflammatory, apoptotic, angiogenic, and fibrotic signaling pathways altered during anti-VEGF (bevacizumab) treatment. The SPSS data file (.sav) includes cell viability measurements and relative mRNA/protein expression levels for key targets (including IL-1β, IL-6, BCL2, BAX, TGF-β, and VEGF-A) across different treatment groups: Control, Bevacizumab (312.5 µg/mL) alone, and Bevacizumab combined with Ketorolac (375 µg/mL) and/or Dexamethasone (50 µg/mL). Key findings documented in this dataset show that adjuvant therapies significantly attenuated pro-inflammatory cytokine expression (IL-1β, IL-6) and modulated apoptotic ratios (BCL2/BAX) and fibrotic growth factors (TGF-β, VEGF-A) in a cell-type-specific manner. This data is intended for researchers studying retinal cell biology, anti-VEGF pharmacology, and ocular drug interactions.
