Description

This dataset consists of methylation array raw data (idats) from pediatric spinal.cord glioma patients. We aimed to study itertumoral heterogeneity in this rare subtype of pediatric gliomas. We performed analysis using www.molecularneuropathology.org website to achieve Methylation class prediction (with calibrated scores) and copy number variation data.

Steps to reproduce

DNA methylation was performed using the InfiniumMethylationEPICBeadChip Kit (Illumina, San Diego, CA, USA). A total of 250 ng of DNA from fresh frozen tumor tissue was treated with bisulfite conversion using the ZymoResearch EZ DNA Methylation kit (Zymo Research Corp, Irvine, CA, USA). In the case of FFPE samples, DNA restoration was performed as per the manufacturer's instructions (Infinium FFPE DNA Restoration kit, Illumina, San Diego, CA, USA). According to the manufacturer's explicit specifications, the Infinium HD Methylation Assay was performed and bead chip was scanned using Illumina NexSeq550. The methylation class was established using web-based analysis via https://www.molecularneuropathology.org/ using the published v11b4 and v12.5 versions of so called Heidelberg classifier of CNS tumors.
