Reported fall rates in hospitals

Description

Database with notifications of falls carried out in the national health surveillance adverse event notification system linked to the Brazilian Ministry of Health. The bank has data from January 2019 to March 2023. The data comes from eight Brazilian hospitals located in the northeast region of the country. Some of the variables contained in the bank are: type of fall (own height, slipping, loss of balance, fainting, stumbling), equipment or situation involved in the fall (bed, bathroom, room, chair, stretcher, crib, while being transported/ supported by another individual, stairs/steps, therapeutic equipment), degree of injury, gender, age (by age groups), occurrence sector (ward, Intensive Care Unit, operating room, outpatient clinic, emergency room, laboratory), and occurrence shift (day and night).
