Description

All ceramides detected in the lipid extracts of ex vivo SC. Unbound and bound lipids were extracted and analysed seperartly. Data are from the 3 stratum corneum donors 3 samples per donor. The data of the bound lipids in full thickness skin models stratum corneum is added as well. Here the effects of LXR antagonist and agonist are shown. Data are given as pmol of ceramide per mg of stratum corneum. Ceramides subclass and total chain length are indicated.
