Description

The data was captured using a time-of-flight Riegl VZ-400 scanner. The research programme was focused on scanning of commonly used building materials such as ordinary concrete, cellular concrete, red ceramic and silica in different states of saturation (oven dry specimens, specimens saturated by air humidity and fully saturated specimens). The specimens were scanned from different distances (7 m, 17 m and 27 m). The target specimens were oriented perpendicularly to the laser beam of TLS. Data format: Raw - Point cloud (*.pts format) The file names are as follows: xxm-yy-zz.pts - where “xx” stands for the distance in meters from TLS to scanned specimens (7, 17 and 27 m); “yy” stands for the type of building materials (ordinary concrete, cellular concrete, red ceramic and silica); “zz” stands for saturation state of specimens (oven dry, saturated by air humidity and fully saturated) The structure of the files is as follows: X Y Z Intensity (range from 0 to 1) Where: X, Y, Z are 3D coordinates of points, unit [m] Intensity is a relation between emitted and received signal power by TLS (radiometric information of point cloud).
