Description

GC-MS datasets of Azorhizobium caulinodans grown in isotopically labelled 20% [13C4]succinate under various growth conditions including aerobic , microaerobic, nitrogen fixing cultures and as bacteroids isolated from root nodules of Sesbania rostrata.

Steps to reproduce

The raw GC-MS .MS files are readable with AGILENT chemstation software. Chromatogram and mass spectra can be extracted using chemstation. To eliminate noise, data can be normalised using MetAlign freely available software. Normalised MS files can now be used to extract MS list with m/z and respective counts. Target m/z and the mass isotopomer families can be identified and mass corrected for natural isotopic abundance using MSCorr software.
