The collected sediment cores were used for the exposure experiments on Paraprionospio patiens. In the bivalve exposure experiment, 12 tanks (40.0 cm × 25.6 cm × 28.0 cm) were filled with artificial seawater (Marine Art SF-1, Tomita Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.), which was prepared at a salinity of 3%.
